Dear Children, Exactly 70 years ago, the Constituent Assembly of India sat for the first time on December 9, 1946. Thus started a historical journey which saw India attaining independence, deciding on its national flag, national insignia, national anthem; and ultimately adoption of the Constitution which made our country a democratic republic.

Physical activity is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle for children, and schools can play an influential role in helping students engage in physical exercise and play. In order to enhance the Sports Quotient among the students and on account of FIT India School week celebrations, a Poem Recitation competition on the title “Importance of Fitness/ स्वास्थ्य का महत्व was conducted in English and Hindi language respectively. All the students exhibited their creativity and awareness and recited the poems to share the ideology and understanding of each learner. All the students were extremely zealous to participate in this competition.

Lifestyle is the most prevailing factor that affects one’s fitness level. An online Elocution competition titled - Freedom from Sedentary lifestyle/आसीन या गतिहीन जीवन शैली से मुक्ति / गतिहीन जीवन शैली पासून मुक्तता was conducted in English, Hindi & Marathi on account of FIT India School Week Celebrations. A person leading a sedentary lifestyle has a low fitness level whereas living a healthier life not only makes a person fit but also extends life. A person with a good and healthy lifestyle will enjoy both personal and social life and is generally more confident, self-assured, sociable, and energetic.

Every year Republic Day is celebrated in India on 26th January with zeal and enthusiasm. It’s a day to honour the Constitution of independent India. Republic Day is celebrated all over India with great gratification and joy and to mark the importance of this occasion, the grandest of parades takes place at Rajpath, New Delhi. Our NCC cadets, Students and Band of AEC Schools/JC, Mumbai are no less at spectacular parades in Anushaktinagar on this day. On this day, let’s recall the true heroes of India who sacrificed their lives to give us freedom. Happy Republic Day
