CONCEPT OF NON-UNIFORM CIRCULAR MOTION # SCIENTIFIC PRINCIPLES BEHIND SPORTS

Dear Children, In non-uniform circular motion, an object’s motion is along a circle, but the object’s speed is not constant. In particular, the object’s velocity vector is always tangent to the circle and speed and angular speed of the object are not constant. In Discus, throw/Hammer throw, the object (discus/hammer) moves tangential to the circle described by the movement of arms. The tangential acceleration propels the discus/hammer forward to cover maximum distance.
